Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Activities That Have Not Been Regulated in the Standard Operating Procedures in the Department of Mathematics

General Guidelines for Participating in Activities Related to the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Programme

  1. Students are required to obtain a permit / recommendation from the Bc Math study program or Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (with the knowledge of the Bc Math Study Program)
  2. For the credit load in the current semester, the rules refer to Subsection5.2.10 curriculum documents for the Bachelor Programs of FMNS UGM.
  3. The permission/recommendation letter referred to in point 1 is a NECESSARY CONDITION for the credit conversion process.

Procedures to Apply for Letters of Recommendation/Permit for External Parties

  1. Students consult with academic advisors.
  2. After obtaining approval from the academic advisors, students submit a Letter of Recommendation/Permission for External Parties. The letter is submitted to the Secretariat of the Bc Math Study Program to obtain an approval from the Head of the Bc Math Study Program. Students who are taking the Final Project I or Final Project II courses, are required to attach a Letter of Approval from the Final Project Supervisor.
  3. Furthermore, the letter that has been signed by the Head of the Bc Math Study Program is submitted to the Secretariat of the Department of Mathematics.
For points 2 and 3, during the pandemic, letters can be sent via email maths1@ugm.ac.id and given a copy to the Chairman and Secretary of the Bc Math Study Program. The Secretariat of the Bc Math Study Program will return a letter that has been signed by the Head of the Bc Math Study Program and the Head of the Department of Mathematics.
  4. Furthermore, the letters are submitted to the administrative department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences will issue a letter of recommendation / permission requested by students.
For point 4, during the pandemic, letters can be sent via email mipa@ugm.ac.id and given a copy to the akademik.mipa@ugm.ac.id.
  5. In certain cases, the application process to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is conducted by the Department of Mathematics.

Procedures to Apply for Letters of Recommendation/Permit for Internal Parties

  1. Students consult with academic advisors.
  2. After obtaining an approval from the academic advisor, students fill out a Permit Application Letter for Internal. The letter was submitted to the Secretariat of the Bc Math Study Program. Students who are taking the Final Project I or Final Project II course, are required to attach a letter of approval from the final project supervisor.
  3. For point 2, during a pandemic, letters can be sent via email maths1@ugm.ac.id and cc to the Head and Secretary of Bc Math Study Program. The Bc Math Study Program will issue a permit requested by students.

Procedure for Submitting Grade Conversion from MBKM Activities

  1. Submission of grade conversion is carried out at a time determined by the Undergraduate Program in Mathematics Study Program by paying attention to the academic calendar.

  3. Students submit the completed form to the Secretariat of the Bc Math Study Program by attaching all supporting data, including a Permit / Recommendation Letter from the Bc Math Study Program or the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
For point 3, during a pandemic, letters can be sent via email maths1@ugm.ac.id and cc to the Head and Secretary of the Bc Math Study Program.
  4. The Bc Math Study Program makes decisions related to the conversion of grades and the number of credits by paying attention to the data included by students.
